Happy Birthday, AJ! also got suspended oops

Hey again, folks!

Haven't had many opportunities to post lately because school has started and I've been swamped by homework and assignments, and when I'm not dealing with schoolwork, I'm usually too tired and lazy to do anything.

Anyways, Animal Jam's 9th anniversary of being officially released is on September 9th (turning 9 on the 9th, i guess), so you know what that means!


There's a new birthday cake item! I feel like this would be common sense for anyone who has been playing AJ for more than a day, but you can obtain it through the code "AJBDAY9". The Birthday Party is also back and I was there earlier, but I didn't take any screencaps of it. Well, except for whatever went on here:



Honestly, that's my "back-to-school" mood. And my last brain cell trying to come up with a coherent-sounding essay in English. Additionally, AJHQ is hosting a Birthday dress-up/den decorating contest on Instagram! You can find more info here and prizes include a den beta, the first AJ birthday cake, and a black long spiked collar. You'll also receive a rare raccoon tail if you play AJPW.

I'm gonna try to enter, and I already started decorating my den earlier today, but I kinda maybe may or not have just gotten suspended. There's a first time for everything, I suppose.


Long story short, I was decorating my den when a friend visited and we started chatting. She asked how she could get free chat and I was giving her directions on how to get into the AJ parent dashboard. When she got to the login part, I was about to ask if she had an e-mail that she could use for it, and since AJ doesn't let you say the word "mail", I tried to get sneaky and say "e" and then "mail". Animal Jam instantly was like "nope" and now I'm suspended for a day. 

I could've sworn that you were able to say "email" on AJ way back when. Times change, I guess. Besides, I wouldn't put it past people to abuse that privilege to get personal information out of young children playing the game. Still wish they had better filters so that innocent people could avoid getting suspended, though.

Hey again, Jammers! Today's Rare Item Monday is the Rare Paperclip Earrings! They can be found on the twelfth page of the Jam Mart Clothing shop and they cost 925 gems. Gotta say, I can really get behind the colour scheme. It's colourful, but not in a clashy or neon way. In fact, I'd probably make an outfit with these if it weren't for one tiny little thing- You can barely see 'em when your animal is wearing them! From a glance, my bunny just looks like she's completely bald! Blog Updates + Today's RIM - The Rare Paperclip Bracelet

hello it's me and i know this is kinda late but eh I'm no longer suspended and today happens to be a Monday, so it's time for me to post about today's Rare Item Monday: the Rare Paperclip Bracelet. Much like the other paperclip clothing items, you can barely see it on most animals, but it's not like that's a new development or anything. It can be found on the eighth page of Jam Mart Clothing and costs 975 gems. On an unrelated note, I'm working on a page for Affiliates as well as a Den Directory! Essentially, once I figure everything out and get some graphics made for Jamaa Jaunts, other AJ blogs will be able to become affiliates with JJ. Hey, people! It's Dark (AKA Qlj/BubbleKittens789 [and formerly DarkBunneh] on Animal Jam) and while I've basically grown out of Animal Jam and previously quit for over 2 years, I randomly came back to AJ for the nostalgia. To say the least, I kinda like AJ again oof. I don't know -- if you get past the ever-present "RARES RARES RARES" mindset that has overtaken the site as well as the scamming that sometimes goes on, it's still a pretty nice game (Except for the weird chat filters. AJ, please fix that). I mean, yeah, maybe I'm a little old for it, but I'm pretty sure the majority of people that play AJ nowadays are older than AJHQ's actual target audience anyways.
