Fall Updates

'Sup! I haven't been posting a to lately but that's mostly because I've been sick and it's tough to find time to play AJ at times due to my constant flow of assignments and homework. Anyways, AJ came out with a new update and it's fall in Jamaa Township now! yeah this is like 2 days late but here's my commentary anyways


I've always found the fall layout of Jamaa Township really gorgeous. The pumpkin beside the billboard looks kinda new, since the style of it looks more like something out of an adventure or newer AJ room, but for all I know it could've been like that even before I quit and I just never noticed it. Dunno. does anyone else notice the difference between items/rooms/lands in 2010-2012 and items/etc in 2012-present? i swear aj changed their style a bit at some point

There's also a little ladybug near where River Racer (was that what it was called?) used to be, but that's probably not a new development.


Anyways, on to the actual news! For starters, Arabian horses are now in AJ.


Those... those are definitely the main characters from My Little Pony. If the colouration and items weren't enough, they even have the same pets as the Mane Six. Stopped watching that show years ago, but I would've been really shooketh if AJ did this back in 2012-2013.

But I digress. They look kinda cool, but did we really need a third type of horse in AJ? I feel like there's so many other animals that they could've added in instead, like a moose or polar bear or something. Nonetheless, I gotta admit that I love how they're designed. I even sort of prefer them to AJ's regular horses. I mean, just look at this! It looks majestic as all get out!


On another note, pet raccoons are a thing now!

Real raccoons are back after however long they were gone for! I don't have much to say about this since I already had a raccoon as one of my animals and therefore wasn't as affected by them "travelling", but I'm glad that people have a chance to make raccoons again! The last major update is the implementation of Matsuri items into AJ!


I admittedly don't know a ton about Japanese festivals, but these items seem pretty neat.

Hey again, Jammers! Today's Rare Item Monday is the Rare Paperclip Earrings! They can be found on the twelfth page of the Jam Mart Clothing shop and they cost 925 gems. Gotta say, I can really get behind the colour scheme. It's colourful, but not in a clashy or neon way. In fact, I'd probably make an outfit with these if it weren't for one tiny little thing- You can barely see 'em when your animal is wearing them! From a glance, my bunny just looks like she's completely bald! I tried to put them on my completely uncustomized Arctic wolf with similar results: You can see the earrings more clearly, but they're still extremely tiny and also look sort of strange. I mean, the earrings on the left side literally look like they're hovering in mid-air . Blog Updates + Today's RIM - The Rare Paperclip Bracelet

hello it's me and i know this is kinda late but eh I'm no longer suspended and today happens to be a Monday, so it's time for me to post about today's Rare Item Monday: the Rare Paperclip Bracelet. Much like the other paperclip clothing items, you can barely see it on most animals, but it's not like that's a new development or anything. It can be found on the eighth page of Jam Mart Clothing and costs 975 gems. On an unrelated note, I'm working on a page for Affiliates as well as a Den Directory! Essentially, once I figure everything out and get some graphics made for Jamaa Jaunts, other AJ blogs will be able to become affiliates with JJ. Hey, people! It's Dark (AKA Qlj/BubbleKittens789 [and formerly DarkBunneh] on Animal Jam) and while I've basically grown out of Animal Jam and previously quit for over 2 years, I randomly came back to AJ for the nostalgia. To say the least, I kinda like AJ again oof. I don't know -- if you get past the ever-present "RARES RARES RARES" mindset that has overtaken the site as well as the scamming that sometimes goes on, it's still a pretty nice game (Except for the weird chat filters. AJ, please fix that). I mean, yeah, maybe I'm a little old for it, but I'm pretty sure the majority of people that play AJ nowadays are older than AJHQ's actual target audience anyways. I know Animal Jam blogs are no longer popular and haven't been a popular medium for talking about AJ for literal years, but I figured I'd start a new one. Why?
